What are your dr times h/c m6?
I have not ran my car at the track since the heads and cam, and I was wondering what to expect. The rundown: stg 2 5.3 heads 224 cam 17in. nittos and (12 bolt)4.11s, lca, hals, etc. What should I be on the path to?

I am hoping for some mid 11's as the car went 12.7's on stock radials with only bolt-ons. The car is also a full stock weight (stripper). I may or may not put it on slicks but def. not the first trip to the track.

My car has ran 11.69 @119.39 with 16 inch drag radials. Today(sunday) at Hattiesburg with 4.30's in the car now, I could not get as good a 60 ft. with the Nittos. I ran a 12.07 @ 116.4 mph and switched to et streets and left the line at 6000 rpms and could only get a 1.69 60 ft and ran a 11.68@117.94. This is a new best and the track was not doing as well as it should have as no one was hooking as good. I figure when the track is hooking right I can do better then that on Nittos as I usually pull 1.70-1.75 60 ft.s on Nittos.

Mid to low 1.7's are unheard of on these little Alabama tracks with a manual trans. f-body. I'm just ready to go to the track. AintSkeered, do you feel that your 4.11s are a help or hurt to your times? I haven't been able to pull a very good 60' with them, maybe it's the fear of my spec 3 it seems like it won't really hold up that well.

IF you are going to only run drag radials, Then 4.10's are awsome. I wanted to try the 4.30's and see how they would 60 ft with the Nittos but had no luck at Hattiesburg yesterday(too cold). I would recommend atleast a BFG for 4.30's if you are over 115 mph crossing the traps. With the Nittos, my shift light came on in 4th about 200 feet before the end of the track. The Nittos work great with 4.10's at almost any track I go to, I pull low 1.7's and a best of 1.67 and I know the car has a lot more in it on a good track day if I could run behind some big tire cars . 1.69 was the best I did leaving at 6000 rpms On 26x11.5x16 et streets.
If you go 4.10's , do a hard burnout and bring revs to 4000 at the tree and dump the clutch but dont mash the gas untill the car starts to jump forward . then mash the gas and hold on. I dont think I used this technique at the track on Nittos yesterday as I have not raced since the thunder shootout and broke my ankle .
