Question 2000 chevy truck 4.8-ls2 swap

I have a friend who is looking to swap a Ls2 motor into his 2000 chevy truck. The truck has the 4.8L motor in it right now. I am looking for information into what will be needed to make this swap work. The plan is to add a 70mm air research turbo to the new motor.
I have been coming up dry with information, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Just tell him to buy a LQ4 6.0L it will like boost better because of the lower CR and be a bolt in swap just need to retune.

The Gen IV LS2 will be alittle harder. You have to mod the harness and may even need a converter box it its an 58x crank trigger motor.

Intake should be the same. The transmission will die with some serious hp thrown at it. If you don't put in a stronger built trans when doing the swap then plan on it in the near future. BTW what are his plans for the 4.8? I may be interested. PM me if its for sale.

I would check the injectors as the early 4.8/5.3L had smaller 19# injectors if he plans to reuse the 4.8L intake. The 6.0L intake will work as well on the 4.8l harness.

Also he need to use the 4.8L flexplate.
