Default Help! If you had $1200 to spend.....

Ok, so my tax return money should be showing up any time now, and I need a set of wheels and tires bad! My stock 16" snowflakes and 225 series snow tires aren't cutting it lol. I can spend about $1200... Maybe a hundred or two more if I absolutely have to. I don't even know where to start, there's tons of great looking wheels these days...
I dont care if they are "played out", I rarely see any other f-bodys anyway.
They will be going on a pewter z28 with an eibach pro-kit, tinted windows and tails.
Chrome or black?
17s, 18s, or staggered?
Please help!
Also, I may eventually want to run a drag radial on the rear..

Pics are always nice

Your probably going to have to stick with 17's. Tires are more abundant and cheaper. look into oewheelsllc.com. U can a set of wheels for <$500+shipping. Falken ze502's are about $90-$120/tire. Go with like 17x9.5 wheels. 275/40/17 rears, 245/45/17 fronts... You'd have <$1200 if went that route that's including shipping and lugnuts. http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels-fo...orLanding/true

That's a link for 17"wheels. If you want 18's. Your gonna need some extra $$$. I just order C6 Z06 replica deep dish 18x10.5 and 18x8.5 and they were $786 with lugs. Then a buddy of mine owns a truck store and he can get tires. So I ordered 315/30/18 and 275/35/18 Nitto NT-01 D/R's. And they were $1210 after taxe cuz I went with an 18" wheel. So right at $2000 for my setup.

I think you should go on E-bay and buy some chrome firehawk rims and BFG tires and you will have money left over.

Never mind I see you have a Z that wouldnt look to hot

Granite, while my set up cost about $1800 even, I ordered my C6 Z06 rims(18x8.5,19x10) from OEwheels - which included tires and lugs shipped to my door. I know they offer similar 17's/18's (maybe even staggered packages that you could get into) for a little cheaper. I would check out their site and give Scott a call. He was very helpful deciding which package fit my budget!

17" C6 Z06 rims and Nexen N3000 with lugs and balanced from OEwheels. Cost alittle under $1200.... Not the best pic but you get the ideal..

$1200 should easily cover a set of DD C5 17x9s, having the outer lips of two of them widened 2in, and having the entire set chromed. Tires for that combo are dirt cheap

For a pewter car, chrome looks great. I would try and find a set of 10 spokes either aftermarket or stock and get them polished or chromed. Maybe even widen the rears to 11" to fit wider tires.

C5 Z06 chromes looks very sharp on a pewter car as well.

I spent about 500 on the wheels, and a little more than that on tires.

17x9.5 in the front, 17x11 in the back with 275/315 nitto 555s

Very pleased with them, for a budget setup.
