Default Any experience with JL Audio 10W6?

Does anyone have any experience with this sub, and how much better is the W7?

Highs, lows of the subs?

Anyone?

Are you talking W6v2? or the original?

The new W6v2 is a great sub depending on the power levels you wanna put to it. I prefer the Eclipse Aluminum subs but I like a lil more detail form my subs. If I wanted more sheer output I would have probably used a W6v2.

Unless you plan on runniong 800watts RMS to each speaker I would stick with the w6V2 over the W7. The W7 is a massive SOB and requires a ton of power. Most cars will not be able to supply the poper current required to run 2 of these without an alternator upggrade and at $400+ for the alternator most people won't do it.

You could get great sound quality and output (even at low frequencies) with 2 W6v2s and a 1000w RMS amp. bettwe than you would with 1 W7 and the same amp

If you are not talking about the v2 line, remember the 6 ohm coil.

I'm talking about the sub that is just below the W7.

What would be a good amp that doesn't cost a arm and a leg to run with it?

I think the JL subs are unbelievable....there is no need for the w7 its way too much....the new line of w6 subs a just enough if not more as long as you power them enough.....i have a pair of old school w3's and i love them for clarity and depth, I dont think i'll ever go to a different company for subs in any of my cars....So if i were you i would definetly go with the w6's......

P.S.-If your interested im selling a brand new 2400 watt puch amp from Rockford Fosgate, I picked it up a couple of months ago and just have no use for it i want more power under the hood now, I would like to get around $400 for it....E-Mail me if your interested at Immortalnb@aol.com
