Do not put that stuff in your oil, your just looking for trouble.

Why not...I just read the sticky...53 pages of good news...figured I'd do it..drive about 75-100 miles and then get the oil changed..
I also wanted to do the gas tank with a can too...

it wont hurt your engine..its 100% petroleum..I know some folks drive for around 200 miles..just dont go over 250 miles and it should creep up into your internals pretty well..dnt forget to add to your fuel and spray into your intake manifold..go read the seafoam thread on here...they have a step by step process

That's correct, don't drive around for anything more than that though. Your oil will come out darker than black.

Once you've completed the process and the smoke clears, lol, your ride should run like new..get all of that carbon and junk out of there and enjoy the smootheness of the ride..LOL

Longtime seafoam user here. Never had a problem on any of my cars. Put it in the gas tank, oil, brake booster hose, pcv hose, never a problem. Just dont put it in your intake to fast you could hydrolock.

SeaFoam will clean the crankcase like any other engine flush chemicas will.

BUT Jeezuz....don't drive the sumbitch or rev it at all. When people put stuff into their oil it thins it out, that is what will hurt your bearings. But not if you just let it idle. But revving and driving it like that is just ridiculous.

Pour a full can of SeaFoam into the old oil and run it for 5-8 minutes. Then dump it all out. Then pour 4qrts of new (cheap) oil in and run that for 5 minutes. Then dump it.
Then replace the oil filter and oil......thats it.

Gunk engine flush is my favorite to use. I pour two bottles into my old oil to flush. Been doing it every single oil change for 153,000 miles now on my 427ci. My crankcase is CLEAN. Under my valve covers looks like it was assembled today. But I would use SeaFoam if I had to, its just a chemical.

I would not use seafoam in my gas tank again first time doing that i had a misfire codes
ses light flashing and all. Next day i check my plugs and they were all fouled up,swapped
them and everything was fine. Plugs were about 11 months old.
