2008 Corvette questions
Just looking for some comparison between between a 2000 Trans Am and a 2008 Corvette.
I owned 96 Trans Am with a 383ci that made 430/415 and a 2000 Trans Am that made 352/350. The 2000 had lowering springs and sway bars.
Just wondering how a stock 08' Corvette would feel compared to that?
Also, I heard that a Corvette feels infinitely better than a 2010 Camaro and 2000 Trans Am as far as ride comfort, cornering, and braking. I know these questions seem silly but I really am asking. I'm looking into buying a 2008 Corvette and i'd like to get some real world opinions on it before I even waste my time setting up test drives and all that.

There isn't any comparison that can be made between the two. The only similarities they have is that they're both made by GM.
Drive a Corvette. You'll see. I had a 2002 WS6 and going from that to the Corvette was just a ridiculous eye opener.
But on a side note, I do indeed wish I could have had both the TA and the Corvette.
EDIT: BTW, I've had 2 F-bodies and 2 Corvettes. This isn't a hit and miss type of thing.

Really? Why would you want both then? What's the plus side to a Trans Am if you have a Vette?
I figured the 08 Vette would be incredibly more advanced in every way vs my 2000 Trans Am. But I thought i'd just make a topic about it to be reassured some! :-)

Compared to your 2000 TA, the 2008 vette is a completely different game. Lighter, faster, better handling, and a big step up in interior quality. Just driving in traffic and looking out over the curves of the vette is more satisfying.
I wouldn't mind having my 2002 SS vert for times when I want full top down and a back seat, but I don't miss it when I want to go fast or hit the curves.

I think above recommended both the Trans Am and the Vette just because of the different worlds.
I am currently building/swapping my 97 TA just because it was my first "muscle car" and therefore has a lot of sentimental value to me.
I plan on definitely adding a C6 to my future though The C6 in general is a great performance value and a very well-rounded car
