Should I Pull The Motor For My Cam/Heads Swap?

Question Should I Pull The Motor For My Cam/Heads Swap?

I'm going to be getting my cam and heads soon, and i was talking to a couple of buddies who are going to be helping with the swap. One said that it would be easier to pull the motor, which makes sense. But my other friend(who's ls1 we swapped with a cammed lq4) said pulling the motor would be even harder, which makes more sense. So I'm confused will I be able to swap cams with the motor in the car? or would it be worth it to pull the motor? Which would be more time consuming? any help would be appreciated, thanks. Also, anyone running the TSP Torquer V3 with Stg 2.5 LS6 Heads setup? if so, any dyno numbers? thanks again!

Keep the motor in the car first off. Check out ls1howto.com follow there cam change guide. I have the trq v3 I have prc 215 heads and I made 440 rwhp and 408trq with a ls6 intake

For just heads, Id keep it in the car. If youve got some friends whove dropped the motor out the bottom before its alot easier though, especially if your headers bolts are hard to get to. I dropped my motor out on my LT1 Trans Am when I swapped heads and added headers, but Lt1s are a little more of a pain

Leave the motor in the car. No need to pull it for H/C swap. ls1howto.com will help you out as said ^^
