Default 02 z28 Lid & full exhaust results

Finally got my car tuned this weekend and am completely happy with it. Pre-tune I had hesitation mid the rpm band especially between 3-4k rpms. Car pulls smooth all the way through the rpm range and pulls like an SOB now compared to before. Never did any dyno pulls stock to see what gains were from current mods but I dont care. My butt dyno tells me there is night and day difference.

324whp / 337wtq on a Mustang Dyno w/s60 4.10 gears

Tuned by Don @ Slowhawk

02 z28 M6

Mods:
SLP lid
Hooker Lt's (1" 3/4)
TSP catted y
SLP LM2

Thanks Don

Numbers seem low for bolt on's through a M6...mine with bolt ons and a ls6 intake put down 347rwh. Is it just me or does 324rwh seem low for your mods through a m6? Mine was on a mustang dyno too.

^ And remember those are Mustang dyno numbers, which are going to be lower than a dynojet.

Numbers seem good, as long as your happy with the car that's all that matters, I bet those 4.10's make it feel pretty good to.

Yeah the 4.10's feel great. From what I have seen and heard the 4.10 gears eat approx 15whp if not mistaken. I guess what you make up in acceleration makes up for the loss in hp.

those are strong numbers through a s60 and mustang dyno. on a dyno jet and 10bolt he would be around 350rwhp easy

The car did very good for the mods. The S60 with 4.11 gear definitely bring down the "dyno" numbers. Car pulled to redline smoothly.

Alot of the high "dyno" hp guy's here would be depressed if they ran on my dyno... LOL

I am from the Newport area. Just shoot Don a pm and he will get back to you. I know when I went to get tuned the shop was filling up quick with builds and installs so I am assuming he is very busy.

Good numbers, remember all dynos are different. I put down 390rwhp on my guy I go to for tuning's dyno.. yet 2 other dynos I put down 407 and 412rwhp. All dyno's are different anyways. With boltons and a tune you should be around 330-350rwhp depending on dyno, rearend, etc. That being said, those are pretty clean numbers!

Good numbers for the mods and rear end. How come you have an S60 if your just bolt-ons though? Are you planning on doing H/C/I etc?

Nice solid numbers!

You've said your dyno seems to run about 15 hp lower than a local Dynojet, right? Alot of people I talk to seem to think they are going to lose like 30 hp going from a Dynojet to a Mustang Dyno (I'm sure it all depends on how it's set up), so I'd think they'd be happy only losing 15. Then again, people are never happy

True,it's always about the #'s. On the original setup this car would of made 270rwhp. We setup the dyno to read a % higher and verified it in all weather conditions. It's still lower than a dynojet but only alittle. I would rather build a car here and make alittle less hp on the dyno. Then when they go to dyno days somewhere else it put's out higher #'s.

I agree. It's definitely about sticking with the same dyno after each round of mods as opposed to dyno hopping to find the golden dyno.
