ok i got a 4l60e in my 95 formula. the problem is sometime the tranny will shift fine then the next minute it wont down shift at wot and wen it does shift through the gears it wants to shift really hard and it shifts really late or at high rpms so wat cud b wrong with anyone help ?

well the tps is brand new but my map sensor is out and i got a hole in my stock elbow on the bottom so wud that cause the problem/

Well the ECM uses many variables to determine when to shift the transmission. What do you mean the MAP is out? Like not in the car or not functioning properly? Yes, all of the things you mentioned like the MAP sensor and unmetered air or air entering after the MAF could cause issues.

yea the map sensor itself is out i just gotta go buy one from parts store. and i forgot to mention the maf wiring sensor that plugs into the maf itself broke as n the wires came out. can i just get a wiring plug and will it cause the tranny to also miss up. im new to the lt1 stuff so any help wud b appreciated

ok the wires came off the connector that plugs into the maf can i buy a new connector or wud i have to get a new wiring harness

I think you can still buy the connector through GM and you won't need to replace your wiring harness. If that doesn't work out a salvage yard may be the next solution. Lots of cars/trucks use that connector and MAF so it shouldn't be hard to find.

I would agree with what was said above. TPS or MAF sensor.

cool i found a 95 trans am at a salvage yard they want 150 for wiring harness which is cheap and 350$ for the transmisson which is cheap to but they will sell every thing motor comp harness trans n all blots n nuts fot a 1000$ and it only has 77000 miles on the whole car if mine doesnt work our

I wouldn't recommend getting a transmission from a salvage yard. That transmission is over 15 years old and I'm sure it's in no better shape than yours. I'd save up for a rebuild if anything ends up being wrong with the trans.

well i wanna t56 so if u know where to find one for relatively cheap ill rebuild it or someone wanna trade for a a4 let me know
