Auto Adjusting Volume? 02 Z28
This is a serious post, I searched and found nothing. At certain speeds my stereo volume will increase as I increase in speed. Everything decreases in tandem as well...am I losing my mind? I cant find a button anywhere to disable this. I am sorry, car doesn't have the glove box manual with it.

There is a **** around my volume **** with a little slider up and down (from like 11 o clock position to a 7 o clock position)!!! Finally, someone knows what I am talking about! What does that do?? Can I just slide it all the way down?
Thank you, I honestly thought something was wrong with my ears when I heard it increase and decrease....

As stated, its that weird little slider. It is also adjustable in different increments. Its probably full blast which is why its annoying. I think you can set it to the middle ground and its not so overbearing. Try playing around with it and see if you can find a spot that its not so noticeable.

Do you even know anything about this original post? Why even waste the OPs time?
OP: As stated above use the slider next to the volume **** and move it/down to increase the sensitivty of the speed volume. This has pretty much been the standard on GM radios since 2000 as my 00' Silverado had the same radio and so does my 02' Suburban.

Holy ****. I never knew Camaros came with this?? I never noticed it when I had my stock Monsoon system... That's pretty bad ***, my friends BMW does the same thing and it's really useful. I'm always having to turn the volume up as I get up to speed, and then turn it down when I come to a stop cause it's too loud. Gets annoying sometimes haha wish my Alpine had that.

OP stated he didn't have an owners manual so lets not give him **** for not looking in the manual. Op just turn the outer **** around the volume **** all the way down to turn of the speed compensatory volume adjustment. Personally i leave it in the first position up and that works great for me. Good luck

BTW - You can order a new owners manual at http://www.helminc.com/helm/welcome_...asp?Style=helm Last time I looked, they were around $10.
GM provides a really good order form for the books also, but its in the back of the owners manual...
