Default Maverick...LSX 5.3...Powerjection III...

first I would like to thank everyone for the parts and info they have shared with me...
with the info here, it was a straight forward swap...
built motor mount stands, installed motor, built trans crossmember, installed exhaust and driveshaft in 4 hrs...
the rest was...cleaning, painting and powdercoating parts.

started with...10K, '05...5.3

now...Edel 7118 carb intake, Edel #2215 carb cam, yellow springs, Powerjection III fuel injection, installed in-tank E-pump, modded truck oilpan, Champion... 3 row radiator, camaro assys, 700R4 built to the max, S-10/vett converter, Taurus E-fan. all this hiding under a stock Grabber hood.

thanks...Frank

Really nice, and the coil covers make it look even more mean.

Hey, Frank. That's a neat little car. Should be a lot of fun. I noticed you have installed a Powerjection lll unit. I have been reading everything I can find about them, but so far have'nt found but one guy that actually had one. He had it on a 302 Ford road race type car and really liked it. I know you have'nt driven yours much yet, but would you care to share your impressions of it so far? I'm very much interested in trying one on my LS2.

Thumbs up Awesome!!!

That has got to be the coolest thing I've seen in a loooong time! My first car was a '76 Maverick, and I absolutely loved it! Nice app. man! Unfortunately for me, mine only had a straight six. You rock!!!::

I see the shock towers are gone, would the engine have fit with the stock suspension setup?

How do you like the powerjection efi?

IIRC, Frank has factory manifolds. I used BBK 351W fox-body swap headers with LS flanges welded on. Both of us have truck pans, Franks' is notched and mine is not.

Powerjection lll...took a dump. wouldn't hold a tune...sent it back.
running a MSD Atomic EFI at the moment..(first day today) like it so far.
don't want to get too excited just yet...this is my 3rd. aftermarket EFI. I tried a Holley system on my 347 first and it was junk right out of the box...

time will tell...

What exactly was "junk" about the Holley system?

Use the factory stuff, Megasquirt or dont bother with EFI. Just my opinion. Always likes the maverick though, and i like that color
