Default LS1 to Powerglide Quick Q

Im swaping a LS1 into my 69 Camaro I need to know if there is any reason I can not use my powerglide torque converter? I already have the GM adapter and bolts.

Thx Eric

You sure can use it. The converter will not bolt up to you factory flexplate, but you can swap that out for an aftermarket flexplate, such as the TCI and you'll be good to go!

Why wont it bolt up to the factory LS1 flywheel? Isnt the pg converter the same pattern as a th350/400?

I would probably hold the converter up to the flexplate to verify the bolt holes. If you they don't match then you know what you have to do.
