That is a rediculous amount of info and it may be hard to get the answers you are looking for.. What are you wanting to know??

Here is a good starting point.. This is just one of 29825769487243 pages of info and opinions on the T56

It is all in how you drive the car.. Just like the factory 10 bolts holding up miraculously in several 450hp + cars with a tire..

If you shock load the **** out of a 6060 im sure you could break it..

Good info about the dif in the trannys here.

Nothing.

Then you now know why the LS1 units get their syncro teeth chewed up when the LS1 clutch hydraulicss aren't working well.

There's inherently nothing about a 97 T56 better than a 98 T56. Ask your rumour spreaders what's different besides the front plate casting and input shaft length.

If you want the 2.66 / .50 geared T56, get a 94-02 unit and freshen it up with new blocker rings + any repairs.
Only get a 93 unit for light-duty use where those gear ratios are specifically needed.
Go MN12 from a GTO for 2.97 / .56 if that benefits your engines power curve or serious RPM shifts will be made.
Running slicks and launching hard? There are bigger output shafts but if you're running an auto, it's probably not needed.

I've always heard the 95 1/2 model T56 is the bomb. Its very rare but worth the money if you can find one.
