Default WTF is up with stock used parts pricing?

what the hell? it seems like stuff tripled since last year. i swear i bought my whole intake manifold with throttle body, injectors (28lbs) and fuel rail for $75 shipped. now crazy people want $100 for stock manifolds alone. i know this whole truck motor boom thing thats been goin on is part but still....

sorry just wanted to rant a little.

Gas speculators are responsible for most of the increased cost lately.Since they seem to drive the petrol market.Which inturn drives the economy "no pun intended".

Not to mention as the cars get older, parts get harder to find.

I bought new stuff, sold it new at a loss then had to buy stuff again and paid more than the price I sold it for.

Try the dealer and see what prices you get.

Went up to $895 but the reserve was not met. They are appreciating more than gold!!

I want a 102 but it gets pricey when you have to buy the fuel rails kit to work with LS1/LS6 and the 102mm TB = ~$1,500!!!! Plus porting

I'll wait until I find a complete dropout LS3 for $3,000

I just looked up the set of not as desired 5.3 heads yesterday 862 casting, apparently $200 is the going rate in ok condition. I am thinking of selling my 706 castings that are complete and cleaned to almost new. I thought $175 would have been high but apparently not lol.
