Default Rough idle issues after muffler delete?

did the muffler delete about 1k miles ago and now my v is starting to idle very rough and seems to bog under 2k rpms. Only thing i could think is the loss of backpressure from hacking off the mufflers but i would have thought alot more people would have this issue. Anyone else experiencing this?

I thought trucks loved not having mufflers!!!!

jk how old are the plugs, might just be a coinicidence that its time to swap them out. You shouldnt have any chanmges from the muffler delete unless you took of the cats and mufflers.

Go to Advance Auto Parts (if there's one nearby) and ask to borrow their OBD2 scanner. Find the misfire counter and reproduce the conditions that cause your engine to run rough.

If you had read my recent "newbie" threads, you would've already known that after gutting my mufflers, all was well--however, after installing headers and removing the cats, my engine has been running rough between 1000-1600 RPM (AND when demanding torque from the engine). Idle is normal. I pulled everything out and triple-checked it (including doing impedance tests on the spark plug wires). Everything checked out.

OBD2 indicates that I'm misfiring about 25% of the time during these events. Next steps for me are a different spark plug gap setting and a tune. I'm going to call ahead and let my tuner recommend something.

its not throwing any codes. therefore obd isnt going to tell me anything. it might be the spark plugs. ive never changed them since ive owned the car for about 9mos

Took it to the dealer, they think its the motor mounts. Although i thought they had been changed before, they said they could be bad again. So they are changing those and gave me a 2010 cts loaded with 500 miles to drive in the meantime

Your forgetting that you also swapped your upstream O2's. Which can cause an irregular A/F condition resulting in a misfire. Was there something wrong with the stock O2's?

The stock O2 sensor lines were too short. I installed Bosch replacements.

Now I'm really confused. Please educate the newbie: why would my CPS be a problem after a header installation?

to be honest.... I love driving my car 100% more after driving it with the new sensor....... If you dont have a warranty its a 40$ part and from what ive heard easy to install. and my car at 34k had the sensor go bad. So im guessing if your having the same problems, why not go get it replaced. The shifting is so much smoother. If you have a warrant and your cruise control doesnt work. Go in and demand a new CPS

your spring in the sensor probably isnt bad enough yet to throw a code. I think the guy said mine was broken, or almost broken
