Default Dyno tuning question....part throttle A/F issue.....

If I'm putting a brand new motor in my car, zero time on it, and I want to keep it under 3,000 rpms for the first 800 miles, which means no full pulls on the dyno for the tune, can it be put on the dyno with a wideband O2 and get run up through 3,000 rpm to make sure its not cylinder washing?

Then after braek-in I will have it completely re-dyno tuned.

If you want the poor man's way, all you have
to do is put a high-impedance digital voltmeter
across each of the front O2 sensors. If it's a
bouncing baby boy, you're happy. If it's stuck
to the ceiling, too fat; stuck to the floor, too
lean or O2s not lit.

This is all I had to go on back before OBD cars,
but it's enough to tell. No point spending dyno
time/effort/$ for a nickel's worth of info.

Well, if I knew what that was and how to do it I would. My friend has ATAP, will he be able see from those files after driving around for awhile if I'm too rich under 3,000 rpm???

ATAP or any other scan tool will work too.
