Default HP is OK, Torque is a little low maybe????

i'm cool with the HP, this was my goal and what i was told to expect with my mods.....but i was hoping the torque would've been a little higher.....what would be the first thing i should look at, the car drives good and pulls hard....the tuner said it was the flattest torque curve he's ever seen (i had to outline it with a sharpie because it was light blue and didn't really show up on my scanner).....but what do you guys think?.....the specs are:

stock bottom end/stock cube 346
stock 806 heads
LS6 intake (Z06 version #12573572)
stock ported TB/ SLP lid/ K&N filter/ stock maf
Pacesetter Coated LT 1 3/4 headers
TSP True Duals dumped before axle with 2.5" Sweet Thunders
NGK TR55 gapped at .055
MSD wires
227/231 .614/.617 110+3 installed dot to dot
PAC 1518 springs
TSP 7.4 pushrods
LS2 chain
LS6 oil pump
March 25% UD pulley
Spec 2+ w/ lightweight PP option
Spec steel flywheel
stock 3:42's

tuner said air/fuel ratio was 12.5 across the board
rev limiter set at 6300

How many miles on your clutch, does it seem to slip any?
Stock 806 heads don't help either.

only 7500 miles on the Spec 2+, i've babied it most of it's life, i don't think it's slipping any......well, at least not yet.., i know Spec's don't seem to last very long in these cars.....i know the heads suck pretty bad too, i might be in the market for a set of ET Performance 11 degree 215's soon.

Something is holding you back on torque. With my stock heads and TR224 cam, I had a nice torque curve that peaked to 373 ft/lb. My torque curve stayed above 350 ft/lb its whole run and only was at 360 ft/lb after 6000rpm. The stock heads can push the torque.

Similar setup, cam seems to be the only major difference along with the LS7 clutch and dumped at axles part while my setup went to mufflers and tips.

Yeah, the reason I asked about the clutch is because the TQ just flat-lines above 3300rpm, have you thought about putting it on the dyno again(at a different shop)?
That way you'll be able to see if the TQ flat-lines again.

yep, i want to eventually take it to another tuner, kind of like getting a second opinion from a doctor.....i guess i can't complain really though......it drives great and aside from a small wire issue i had to fix after the tune, everything is in top shape.....maybe i should just throw in some 4.10's and be done with it....

Well, since it sounds like high flow heads are already a future modification I guess that would be the time to get it back on the dyno.
I don't see any reason why you shouldn't see at least 400 RRTQ, once you've installed high flow heads.

Keep us posted on any changes or updates.

i forgot to put on the list that i have a Tick master cylinder......i wonder if i need to adjust it......if the clutch isn't engaging as fully as it could be, i guess my torque would flatline like that.....you think?

It's possible, do you have any clutch smell?
