Default Took V to SNL...almost 900hp

Ok, so 412 of that hp came form the Raptor.

The block came in from the machine shop and all parts for the engine finally came in. Hopefully within a week we'll find out exactly what part gave out in the bottom end that led to cylinder 8 misfiring 1000 times/min. And yes, EVERYTHING on the top of the engine is still good. We spent 4 hours going through every possible issue.

The rebuild is boring, stock block...just new parts with a few upgrades like lifters, oil pump and 102mm maf and CAI.

The way your raptor looks with the trailor on the back; with the *** end a little lower than the front is how they should have had that thing from factory...... I think it looks so much better

I'm the opposite, when I see a truck that isnt level, I am wondering what is wrong with it.

Right now the truck has a noticeable rake with the front about 2" lower. You can adjust the stock Fox coilovers two levels higher. The first notch is stock, second notch is level and third notch leaves the front up about an inch.

I wanted to raise it to the second notch to make it level but the stock rake has grown on me. It gives it an aggressive look that I really like.

I think its close to the 2.5 and the 3.0 but made specially for the Raptor. Fox and SVT spent a lot of time getting the combo to be perfect.

The replacement part does not line up with anything Fox offers "off the shelf".

What kind of power does your V make and do you have a fast intake?

The last dyno, which was before ported 90mm intake and TB, was 408/418. I'm running the stock intake and stock TB...both ported.

I wish. There are no off road parks around here that allow trucks. The closest one is a good 6 hour drive. Also, dont know anyone with land that will let us tear it up.

I know all about Glamis. When I was active duty Marines my buddies and I would go there. I'd love to be able to let the Raptor fly.

Unfortunately she is a pavement pounder. :-(

Yeah, we are fortunate here to have all sorts of awesome trails and areas to go play here, with mild to wild, desert, beach, dunes, mountain and mud pits. The problem is, people make a bad name for us by tearing up the land they are not suppose to be on (i.e. stay on the trail) and evironmental whackos are constantly trying to take our land away from us, argh.

Also, AZ has some narly trails but I wouldn't take that truck on any serious trails, mainly due to it's size, but it seems to be more for high speed desert type driving, then any sort of rocks and whatnot.

I looked at them briefly, and they are nice off the shelf trucks for what they are, but I forgot...Does it come with a 4:1 transfer case and locking front diff? Two things drove me away from my decision: the price, yikes and they did not have the larger engine available when I was looking. I'm sure it would be fun though.

I actually was really close to getting a Hummer H3T alpha (V8) with the offroad package (4:1 T/C f/r locker, 33 M/T's, etc.). Other than IFS, that thing was really capable for the stuff I like to do, but that too was $$ and they only made them one year and dammit they are holding their value too well

Still, the raptor is a nice rig and it's a shame you can't go offroading anywhere around there; that would suck!
