Single cutout on the y pipe or double on the headers?
Looking to do a 3" electric cutout. Not sure if it should be done on the y pipe or after the longtubes. Obviously on the y pipe would save money.. Also what is a decent brand to go with? Thanks!

i did two after the headers and now i'm regretting it. It sacrificed a good bit of ground clearance and at stock ride height i scrape most places i go. Im sure that if i just did one cutout in the I-pipe i would not have lost any power, and it would have been SO much cheaper.
as far as the brands, I would go DMH if i had too again. 4-year warranty on those guys? yeah my mccords died out after 2.

i bought a dmh electic cutout and it was a great peice dont get me wrong... however i had one right at the end of my y pipe and it did not sound any different than coming out the back of my car. it probably depends on what cat back you have but for me it was not worth it. if i were to doit again i say do two. one on each header

I'm deciding on if I should get a bullet and get rid of the magnaflow or keep it and get a cutout.. It's pretty damn quiet with the magnaflow on it. I'll look into DMH

the dyno max bullet is the truth! I have the stainless borla catback. I took off the giant borla muffler, a added a dynomax bullet and had a tail pipe bent.
The sound is strong, and hp gains were totally noticable.. stunna

I have a 230/230 .612 .598 cam and a magnaflow exhaust. I bet most people wouldn't be able to hear a cam with the cutout closed.
I picked up 10hp on a very conservative mustang dyno.
