Default Happy Medium Drag radials and skinnies ???

Well looking at the 15 inch Summit wheels right now the R/T Warriors and going to do that for my car seen them on a T/A and they look good and know they will be lighter then stock but not trying to break any records

Question is about the Drag radials I hear about the Nittos being good for the street and last but suck at the track. Then hear the Mickeys being great track tire but won't last on the street for anything is there any other brand that has done good for people in both place i know I will have to sacrifice in one direction where they are going to perform

And skinnies I know they sell them but is there another open say using them off a small car instead of buying say a Mickey Thompson skinny that cost quite a bit????

For my Telstar 15" skinnies I used to use tires for an old vw beetle. You could get them at any auto parts store for around $25/tire. They were like 165 r15's I think. I'm going to use them again with a new set of summit wheels.

Being told there have been a few failures with the VW wheels on these due to them not being able to handle the weight

How long do the front runners last on the street???

I only ran my skinnies at the track, I'd bet failures with them happened on the street.

I ran skinnies on the street for a while. No issues. Just use common sense and don't take corners like an F1 car.

You want to run a cast aluminum wheel and are concerned with tire failure? Come on man. 7ply radial mickey t if you want to run them always.

x2. Or even better, to go with the radials in the rear, the MT Sportsman S/R radial front runners.

That's what I do, some people like the track look on the street. I would never run skinnies on the street, I don't think it's safe but that's just me. To each their own though.
