Chevy Cat Convter Warranty Almost Up!
Hey guys so my car was running a PO420 Code and my SES light was on. I researched on here that I may be eligible for a new catalytic converter on my 02 Z28. I found that the warranty for all cars is 8 years or 80k miles. They actually upgraded the warranty on the Camaros to 10 Years or 120k miles. My car fell in that range and will be receiving a brand new converter tomorrow courtesy of my local Chevrolet dealership

You know I'm not totally sure. I'm pretty sure it was a GM warranty so I'll ask when I go back to the dealership tomorrow. I think if you were to call a dealer and ask about it they could tell you. I had to give my dealer the last 8 digits of my VIN for them to make sure it was applicable.

I'm driving my car around right now with the same exact code man, damn PO420. Only thing is, my car is a 2000 so I'm automatically disqualified from the warranty
But, I've decided to just replace the whole Y pipe with an O/R Y that will fit stock manifolds and roll it like that, stock catback and all, just no cats. Should be interesting, I take delivery of it tomorrow

So I just got the car back. Problem fixed and the code is off. Although now I have a huge exhaust leak coming out right after the Cat I'm bringing it back tomorrow to have them fix it.
