Is anything wrong with your ls1 short block?
The added HP is offset by the added weight of the iron block.
If you are keeping stock cubes on the 6.0 it is a waste of time and money.
Lkq sells complete 6.0 pull outs for 1100-1300$ shipped with 20k or less miles and a 6 month warranty. warranty.

well this is my thinking, i wanna do the front mount turbo kit, but right now car has decent piston slap in the morning, but sounds great after its warmed up, so not sure how it will like being boosted, if it holds, awesome, if not was gunna go with the 6.0L.
was also wondering would the truck 6.0L be able to hold more boost then ls1?
and are they all iron or iron block with aluminum heads? says casting number on heads is 317 and 317 is the aluminum 6.0L heads right?

Yes they are aluminum. The stock lq4 would be better for boost because it has lower compression. You would be better off finding a 6.0 short block on here. It will be cheaper and that is all u really need. Lemons12 is right about the hp. I found out the hard way

If you're looking to make more power then obviously the more cubes, the better. $2800 sounds awfully expensive though. Look at AES racing, they're a sponsor here, and I saw a thread by them selling stroker short block assemblies for less than $3K if I remember correctly.

Certain places used to sell LQ9 long blocks for 885.00 shipped to your door but looking on their websites now they don't have that anymore L92's now go for 1795.00 before shipping add 119.00 truck frieght for a courtesey GMPP indirect dealers if you know what I mean. But good luck with the swap if you do.
