Dyno pulls generate a lot of heat, so the fan provides some extra air for the radiator as well as the intake.

Every time I've had a car dyno'd, they've had a fan aimed at the nose.

Uhh...The radiator is still in the front...Unless the owner got one of those air-cooled LS7s.
