Default Help Need Advice!!!!!!

I put in a SLP 160 thermo... and programed the predator to match and the car seems to still run arounn 210 and the electric fans never shut off..

any advice???????

are you logging the engine temp, or going by the gauge? the gauge is useless, the needle points to 210 as long as the engine is in its normal range

Not in my car. My needle sits just above the first dash mark. Thats fully warmed up too.

Ive got a Hypertech 160* in my car, set the fans w/ the programmer and works fine.

i think 98's are the only ones with non-dummy temp gauges (someone correct me if i wrong). jdog, what year is your car?

It's an 2002 should I get a 98 factory gauge to get a ttrue reading????

The only way to get an accurate reading with the 1999's and on is to get an aftermarket guage. I'm in the same boat. I'll be getting one before summer.
