Default Think I would gain going from old SSRA to Megamouth SSRA?

I recently removed my a/c for weight reduction so I wonder if its worth it to sell my old smaller SSRA for the newer bigger Megamouth SSRA?
Anyone ever make the change with logged results?

Think I read chris1313 picked up a tenth or so going from his smaller ra to the bigger one. I would be thrilled to pick up a tenth. In any case im ordering the megamouth. Might as well with ac deleted right? Ill see about getting results probably in a couple months.

in that case you should pick up at least 2-3 tenths!

How's the quality of the Mega mouth? I'm debating pulling my AC when I do my cam swap. My buddy's got the Chris1313 kit. I'd never put that hack job on my car.

The quality of the Mega Mouth is just as nice as the SSRA. It's made from the same material and plastic welded. I ran a FTRA before the MM but never did a back to back comparison at the track. However, I did quite a few back to back data logs and it was clear the MM moves more air across the rpm range compared to the FTRA. I should have actual track results this season. TXCAMSS also had a thread posting some track results.

Yeah, that does sound pretty cool.

The setup I had in pics was a/c condensor, trans cooler, ssra.
Now I just have trans cooler on radiator (no a/c) and ssra.
In a week I will have the megamouth and I will see if my trans cooler still fits where it is now. I bet you it does but I might want to move it anyway seeing how I have plenty of room where my bumper support used to be.

Hey guys I got the megamouth today and installed it. The trans cooler fit perfect in back but the megamouth blocks so much airflow to my radiator that I dont like it. Im sure its great but I will just keep my original ssra because I get LOT more airflow to radiator.
In other words I have a brand new megamouth for sale if anyone is interested.

I saw it in the classifieds, you should try it at the track once before you sell it. That curiosity will always drive you crazy.

Nahhh im not gonna let it drive me crazy. It bassicaly cuts off all airflow from bottom (to radiator) the whole width of the duct. If my car was a full time track car then I wouldnt care and it would be great. But I love how I can fit my trans cooler on radiator with smaller ssra in front and have zero cooling issues what so ever. Im very happy with the smaller ssra and I will compromise to have excellent airflow for cooling as well

Just wanna add that the construction of the megamouth is awesome. If someone wants a discount its there. Only had it on the car for 5 min.
