440 build with ERL block

440 build with ERL block
Christmas in June. My sleeved ls2 block came in today from ERL. I had them supply the pistons so they could get the bores matched up nice. I am very pleased with the machine work. Sean and Seth were great guys to work with. Here are some photos.

By reading the tag on your piston box I see that your compression height is 1.1105 iches.
Therefore:
Block Deck Height ----------- 9.2400 inches
1/2 of crank throw ----------- 2.0000 inches
Piston Compression height - 1.1105 inches
--------------------------------- 6.1295 inches
I assume you are using 6.125 inch rods.
That means the pistons are 0.0045 inches below the block's deck when the engine is cold. Seeing that the block grows between 0.017 and 0.018 inches from 70 degrees to 190 degrees, what static compression ratio are you shooting for cold, and after the block warms up?
Therefore:

I prefer to do my own assembly and this way I get payed for my work. I had purchased this block from someone on the forum and it had a 4.013 bore and rather than spend the money on a questionable overbore I spent a little more and got a lot more.
Yeah, 4 in compstar crank and h beam rods.
