Default How much could this cost me ?:(

If really afraid to ask ha. But I'll start with what I got its a 99 z28 cam and minor bolt-on car. I think I might have spun a bearing it's had a pan leak and I been neglecting the hell out of it and now it won't stay cranked with out a little throttle and every once in a while it squeals but I would like to rebuild and clean the entire motor and engine bay Im xleanin my shop and about to start pulling motor any idea on wht I'm looking at spending?

Does it knock? A squeal doesn't sound like a spun bearing.

It's hard to say cuz i need new header gaskets it doesn't seem to shake to bad but everyone says it's prolly a bearing if not what do you think the squeal is and why would it have problems at idle?

Drain the oil and have a look at the drain plug. If it has metal all over it then you know something has went wrong inside the motor. A spun rod bearing usually knocks loudly. A squeal could be as simple as a locked up power steering pump or something like that.
