Default vss question

I am using a 4l60e from a 95 z-28 with my swap. The vss sensor connector is different than the one on the harness. Can i replace that sensor with a newer one?

Thanks

Yes you certainly can but what concerns me is what year computer program are you using with this 95 trans? Just want to make sure that the solenoid strategy is correct. Not knowing about your swap I'm a little confused. Vince
