Default Hard clank from under my car???

I have an A4 tranny. Just yesterday, I was racing a 5.0 when I ran into a slight problem. I took off from a roll in 1st gear, and when I shifted to 2nd i felt a hard clank from under my car. Right under the area where my shifter is. I again felted when shifting to 3rd. We pulled in to a parking lot and was rolling in on second. I gunned it and my car downshifted, and again I felt the clunk. At first I thought it cold be my diveshaft, but then realized i probably wouldn't be able to keep driving if i busted it. We left the lot and drove home. Under normal driving, I could not hear or feel the clank. It felt normal, wih no weird noises. It only did it when I powershifted and when I gunned it and my tranny had to downshift. I let my friend drive it and feel it. He said it was probably my tranny mount. I'm thinking of buying the ES mount, but wanted some suggestions. Any one had this happen to them? I appreciate the input guys.

I broke a tranny mount once (on a 94 Formula) and it sounds exactly like what you described. When the car shifts under hard acceleration, the torque is actually slamming the tranny against the underside of the body. Just drive real soft until you can get it replaced, no big deal.
