SO I swapped the LS1 intake off my 98 LS1 for an LS2 with the 90mm throttle body. This was a 345hp vette crate engine. Anyone have any idea now what kind of power I can expect? Would the improvement be just in the top end or midrange? Thanks.

Hmm, I wish I knew. You say it was from a 345HP Vette engine? The Vette was 345HP in LS1 form, the LS2 Vette makes 400HP.

From what my experience, the Vette has always had a better intake system and better exhaust system than the F-body cars. If I could take a guess, I'd say you'll see a 10HP gain, but no more than that.

I'm in Meridian right now, but I lived in South Bend Indiana for a long time, Indianapolis is a very nice city.

I'd def say more than 10. An ls1 to ls6 is at least 15 Go on speed incs website I think they have something about their ls2 conversion or just search for it in here. There have been plenty of people testing it

I would guess maybe about 10hp. You would see more gains with a LS6 intake with your stock 75mm TB over the LS2 intake and 90mm TB.

LS2 intakes from what i understand dont flow that great. youre probably better off with an ls6 intake.

LS1 to LS6 intake is 15? I don't think that's even close...

Thanks for the replies, was out of town. This engine will never go over 4000 rpm so I guess torque is really what I am after rather than HP gains. Seems like the swap adds 10 to 15 hp then, but at higher rpms.

I would say 15 hp is pretty close, it really woke my car up nice after I did the swap. Very noticeable & IMO one of the best bolt ons for the money.
