Default o2 sensors

I want to replace the o2 sensors on my car when i install my new headers. I think i read somewhere that a lot of guys run the o2's out of the corvettes because they have longer wire harness so extensions aren't needed. Is this true and which sensors should i use?

Also where is the cheapest place to get these at?

$33.00 each for Densos with a 16 inch long wire. Amazon.com and rockauto.com

Measure to see if 16 inches will work for you.

Just search part number #2344025 on Amazon.com or rockauto.com

In short.....you will not find a better quality 02 sensor. GM uses the Densos as their own now.

bosch 13111 is the one your thinking about, it's the corvette rear O2 sensor alot of guys use on f-body headers. I have personally used the bosch 13111, and the denso on my headers, and the denso's were much more responsive, they "switched" much more frequently than the bosch O2's. Denso get my vote

Ok, wasn't sure if the denso's would work cause in the pictures of them (not sure if it was an actual picture) it looked like it had a 90 degree metal elbow.

In the picture it does look like a metal elbo....its not, its just the wires bent like that.

The Bosch 13111 have a 50 inch long wire. Densos (2344025) have a 16 inch wire, which should be all you need for the two front positions for any long tubes.

I installed two new ones a few days ago and I had to zip tie about 4 inches of extra wire to my metal tranny lines on the passengers side. The drivers side I routed up and behind the heat shield and it had plenty of wire.

Same here. You can look up the denso part number by searching rear o2's for a 2000 vette

Trusting you on this, lol just ordered 2 of the 2344025's with free shipping for just under $70... I wired my own extensions when I did my header install... it worked great for a couple months or so. Car started to act weird and I put it up and checked some things yesterday--driver's side has been melted down to the wire connections. I figured two layers of heat shrink would be ok but apparently not, haha

There is a longer wire Denso as well. Just look for the C5 rear O2 sensors by them... or any manufacturer if you want longer wires with the same connector that we have.

Don't get front C5 O2s because the connector is different.

I also wrap my wires with heat "tape".....its good ****. Pictured below. Reflects heat nicely. You peel off the white side and its sticky as hell underneath. Its also very mold-able like tin foil.

I hope the wire lengths are good for you.....my last Densos from years ago only had a 10" wire and a 14" wire......they reached the wiring harness plugs just fine. I don't understand all the wire length issues people are having with LT's.............

Well... I think I got the shaft from an ebay seller... Got my "Denso 2344025"s in the mail today, the leads are only 12" maybe a little more. My question to those that have used these before--were there any markings on the sensors at all that clarified whether they were really Denso sensors or not? I work in the parts department at a dealership (not GM though) and I know that the well known brands usually have a logo or trademark cast in or a part # casting... any input? The wires are white, blue, and black if that helps

2344025 is a 4 wire sensor.

If you're just looking for proof so you can get a refund with the support of ebay, just show them that a true 2344025 should be 16" long.

But NO...I don't think there's any markings on the sensor itself. Not sure though, never actually checked.

Two wires are the same color, they are 4 wire connectors, lol sorry if I confused ya. I'm gonna see if they will work w/out extensions. I'm not out to make some big deal and get a rebate I was just skeptical when I pulled them out of the package.

I had a 10" Denso on my drivers side and a 14" inch on the passengers side.....they both reached my factory wiring harness plugs. So maybe they'll fit.

I'm thinking some wiring harnesses MUST be longer than other cars.....because so many people are needing extensions with LONG TUBES.....I have no trouble with mine reaching with short wires.

Strange............

I'm thinking this also, because my passenger side plug on the harness is much closer to the sensor than the driver's side. By a long shot. haha

If you can...can you measure how long the wire length is from the sensor itself to the wiring harness on the drivers side? Brand of LT's......
I require just 10" for drivers side and 8"-10" for the passengers side.

I need to get to the bottom of this whole wire length issue everyone is having. People are buying these Bosch sensors with the "10 mile long" wire and I don't see why. It was made long like that so they can fit the Vette sensor positions.

I'll try to get you some measurements this afternoon if I get to put my car up on a lift after work. I know when I spliced my "southern engineer'd" extensions, I had to add a healthy 12" to the STOCK sensor wire.
