What does it cost to chrome SS 10 spokes?
To the point...
What does it cost to chrome a set of 10 spokes SS wheels?
And where is a good place to get them done near south central PA?
I probably won't actually do this until next spring, but I'm curious as to what it costs.
Now a little background on my inquiry...
I saved all of the pictures from the dealership's website ad and the extra pictures that the dealer sent me via email. I was looking at the wheel pics today and noticed a few differences. First, the center caps were missing which the dealer said that someone had stolen a couple of days before I called about the car so I knew something happened. Then I noticed that the original wheels were missing the locking lugs and had different valve stems. The rubber is different and, most importantly, the finish is much smoother and shinier on the original wheels.
My conclusion is that the orignial wheels were chromed and in very good condition. I also concluded, hind-sight is 20/20, that the entire set of wheels were stolen (which makes a lot more sense) and the dealer was in the process of replacing the wheels when I first called. Effin theiving bastards!

I just had mine chromed
I had my 98 17" 5 spoke chromed at LA Wheel & Tire. It was 140.00 a rim and it came to 609.00 with tax. Do a search on Ebay for them also because they have a pretty big listing. Check out www.lawheel.com

That's quite a bit more than what I was expecting. I'll probably end up picking up another set of wheels when this set starts to peel badly. At this point they are 10 footers.
