Default New WELD RTS on the SS

I just put the new weld RTS 15 x 4 and 15 x 10 on my car and my "brake" and "ABS INOP" lights come on just cruising down the road. Does this happen to anyone else with big and littles. If so, How do I go about fixing it?

28s in the rear? That might be why. or the skinnies. I know one of those can cause the light.

ABS will go off if the tires are 10% different in diameter from front to back. Nothing much (besides an ABS delete) you can do about it. It'll go off again when you put your street tires back on.

By the way, great looking setup. How much did those wheels run you? And did you have to shave the calipers?

That looks BaddAss!!! Gos I wish I could afford to get a set of those. More than likely the tire size difference is your problem. You need to program the bigger tire size into your PCM.

The bigger tire size is not the problem, its the difference in size from front to back. Mine did the same thing with a 28" rear and 26" front. There is no easy fix for it. Remove bulbs from cluster (Not easy they are soldered in) tape over lights, about your two easy options. I dont think there is a way to program the lights out through your PCM, its a seperate system.

I am running 325/50/15s in the rear. I was thinking that the change in size from front to rear had something to do with it. I just wanted to see if this was a common occurence. The wheels ran about $1G (from summit racing) and got bout $40 in shank lugs. All 4 tires ran $580 plus shipping. And NO they clear the calibers perfect!!!!! No shaving AT ALL!!! Although to get a 325 tire to fit I did have to heat up the inner fenders and beat them in with a large hammer!

Nothing really you can do. The light will go away every time you shut off on the car, but both will come back on after you hit the brakes for the first time after starting up and driving. No big deal though. Unless it's really bugging the **** out of you, just leave the lights alone. I didn't tape over mine or anything, you just get used to it. Nice looking setup BTW.

I know this is not what you were looking for but do you have any more pictures of your car with those wheels? They look freaking awsome!
