OMG!! What just happened?
Okay guys! Need help! Car has been down for a while for a few reasons. Anyway been driving it for a couple weeks now and today it was running really good. Thought I would see what she would do for the first time since it was down.
Dropped it in low and did a burn out. I started rolling it out and it runn up to the 6 grand mark and wouldnt shift. I let off and got back in it. Then it stalled. I got it started back pretty easy, but oil pressure went to near 0 at idle and on the short drive home only got up to around 5 psi off idle. Before it was health psi. Also oil only has around 10 miles on it.
I also noticed a little knocking ticking noise.
Did I spin a main?

I would suspect the oil pump driveshaft far before the pickup. If the pickup fell off as long as the pump is still submerged you'll have good oil pressure. Pull off the intake manifold first and pull the oil pump drive. It's held down by a small bolt at the back of the lifter valley.

Man I truely value your opinion, you have helped me alot in the past. Thanks.
Can u give me an idea of how the oiling system is drive or works. I see on shoebox that the stock drive uses a plastic coupling so that sounds very probable.

The gear engages the drive which engages the oil pump driveshaft which in turn spins the oil pump. There seems to be a rash of oil pump drive gear failure recently for some reason. Hopefully that's your case and the CHEAPEST fix for a no oil pressure situation.

Not trying to contradict you or crush this guy's hope, just saying... He should certainly take a look at the oil for metal.
