The fueling system will be identical if you decide to go EFI.. Mounts will be the factor here with the LT1.
I used a LT1 Radiator & Fans..the Crossmember I used was the Jegs one for a 7004R/4L60E..I just adapted it for a T56.

My buddy did the swap with a 79 Monte Carlo and it was very easy. Stock G-body mounts and radiator w/ flexible hoses. He is running the double hump crossmember from Summit for the 4L60e.

He used a set of 1 5/8 headers when he was running iron heads from the b-body but when he swapped to the aluminum heads they leaked. He is now running 1 3/4 primaries and no issues. They are just regular G-body SBC headers. He posts on Gbodyforum. I am sure there is some info over there too.
