what bolt on's with warranty
Hey, i just bought a 01 z28, auto, 100k, bone stock. I have a 2 year 24k warranty on it, and don't want to void the warranty. Cant do headers, cam or heads or fi..I am looking to do slp lid with the ssra kit, and maybe a port n polish throttle body..? I know this won't void the warranty. maybe thinking about a bigger budget ebay throttle body, and maybe a bellows and maf? Do i have to get a tune with these mods, can i just get a chip or cheap programmable tuner? Thanks in advance for any advice

Yeah, he basically said that at the dealer...i was thinking of pacesetter and magnaflow in spring, winter is approaching here in mn and I need a winter beater still..$ isn't there for exhaust yet...I know for sure I'm doing lid and ssra next weekend..should I get a 92mm Tb noname on eBay, or p&p original? And a maf and bellows and k&n for now? Also do I need a tune?if I do exhaust in spring, I will def get one then, don't really wana do it twice...tunes are spendy aren't they?..

U Can get a hand tuner used for $150 which u can put back to stock anytime until the warranty runs out !I had a 02 SS A4 w/ a Hypertech hand tuner,P&P TB,Blackwing lid and free ram air and ran 12.87 then w/ headers, off road y-pipe,pully and Yank SS3600 stall i ran 11.80@114 still w/ the Hand held tuner so they work just fine !

i dont think on fbodies they can tell if a tune was changed so that might be ok though i dont consider hand held tuners a real tune,

I have used the same tune from a Hypertech hand tuner in 3 cars and it worked great and it was free so that helps !!!The last 2002 SS A4 i had ran 13.36 stock then put that tune and a P&P TB on the car and went 12.87 and u know that P&P TB did not help that much !But i always wonderd what the car would have run w/ a real dyno tune in it and if it was worth spending $500 on a dyno tune when it was running good already !

Hmm, well I ordered a slp lid, k&n, I live in MN and a Guy out here supplies ssra, got a good deal($150 new), k&n oil filter, mobile 1 5w30, still trying to decide where to get my TB p&p at, thinking affordable speed on eBay, and a bypass kit. I was guna do magnaflow n LT n ory, but think I'm guna wait a bit, might just get lm2 to add a little noise (had flowmaster on my lt1, anyone know if lm2 sounds similar? )also should I get a ory with it?
? Will I be ok for a week or two without a tune with the above mods minus the catback? ?

HAHAHAHA
thats literally word for word what my dad said about the back plugs!
Go to installuniversity.com, they have a guide on how to change the plugs in these beasts.
but you have to take off the coil packs to make it a ton easier
you should be fine without a tune for a little, just get it as soon as possible.
