Default Turbo 400 in place of 4L60E?

So is this able to be done? Ive had different responses...
I have a 95 trans am w/ the supposable non interchangeable yr specific 4L60E
First question...can it be done? if so what necessarily has to be done to swap it out CORRECTLY & everything work normally

I have done many, many f-body conversions going back to the early eighties. It can be an involved process, but there are many good components in the aftermarket world that will help you get it done right the first time.

You'll want to start with a good flexplate from TCI, a new torque converter is required, a new dipstick, a new crossmember, a driveshaft, a new shifter and related console modifications... there are actually quite a few things that need to be replaced in order for it to go smoothly.
