Default help on cam and heads

Ok guys I have an ls1 with an a4. Mods are ls6 intake, p&p stock tb,fipk,lt headers, off road y, magnaflow muffler, and a tune by frost. I am looking to upgrade my cam and maybe heads but I do not want to sacrifice too much mpg cuz its my dd and gets about 55 miles a day. I understand I will have to sacrifice some gas mileage but I want as much power as I can get and not spend a fortune on gas. So what size cam would yall recommend and also what heads. I would like to try to get into the 11s in the 1/4. Thanks

It needs a stall BEFORE it gets a cam swap.

Your probably going to want to look into getting a small torque converter if you are considering getting a cam. You should talk to a forum sponsor and see what they can cook up for you as far as a H/C combo goes. Your likely going to end up with a nice set of heads and a small cam if you are set on keeping the stock TC... getting into the 11s with a stock converter is definitely going to be a chore.

Caring about fuel mileage and power output at the same time usually doesn't turn out so good. Like trying to build a car for autox and drag at the same time. Good luck! Especially on an A4.

As for Heads/Cam. I know above 243's were mentioned. If you want "243's" your going to have to get them used. If you want brand new heads that are exactly the same as a 243, look into 799's. That's what I bought for my build.

For the Cam. I would stay between 220-230 duration and if you want it friendly on mileage go with 114lsa+.
