Default another msd window switch thread

ok I have the MSD distributorless window switch part number 89561

Here is my problem. I have it all wired up white wire to the tach signal etc. there is a single grey "loop" wire. i have cut. With the wire cut the window switch does not work at all... when i reconnect the wires the window switch will work but it activates and deactivates at exactly half of what the pills are set at,
from what i read by cutting the loop it should bring the switch to work properly the v8 motor and it work correctly but it obviously is not.

Not sure about that sw. but my digi MSD sw. had to be set on 4cylinder mode for it to work at the correct rpm.
