im in plano and I have a couple different scanners, im actually a diagnostic tech for BMW. try running some injector cleaner through it, make sure theres no crank or cam sensor codes. P0300 can be tricky, drive the car somemore eventually it should be able to determine which cylinders are missing. how does the car drive, like poo i imagine???

P0300 is a random cylinder misfire, usually a bad injector or vacuum leak

i have cleared the codes a few times now and still get the p0300 code. the car will start fine, search for steady rpm alittle 500-800for about a minute, the water temp gauge will move up and done almost in unison with the tach needle until it reaches operating temp. it runs rough and starts to clean up over 1200 rpm, if i get into it nice and steady it pulls hard, but if i try to punch it, it acts like its loading up on fuel/ cutting out. ive searched for vacuum leaks, fixed one, cant find any others. replaced plugs and wires.

An oxygen sensor with some exposed wire that gets dripped on by the A/C can cause that. Ask me how I know..........

Intake leak or fuel delivery issue. In my experience, a random misfire is almost 90% of the time one of these 2 things. Check for cracked intake, bad intake gasket seal, basically any opening after the MAF that would be allowing unmetered air into the engine...Secondly check fuel pressure, make sure it holds steady and blip the throttle a couple times to make sure it recovers well. Only other things to look at after those and the things you've tried would be cam/crank sensor issues...They can cause a random misfire, but usually have a correlating code w/ them. You can ohm out the resistance on the sensors, just look up the specs in a service manual. Hope this helps.

We can pinpoint the issue at the shop and we have a more advanced scanner as well. Let us know if we can help you out.

hose down the intake manifold with some brake clean, thats how i find vacuum leaks. wait for the engine to suck in some brake clean instead of air then youll know where your leak is noticible difference in RPMS
