Buell Thunderbolt left awe'struck'
Short version: Killed a Buell Thunderbolt that tried a ricer fly by. I went WOT with him 1 car back from my bumper, stopped his pull right at my bumper, put a fender on him from there. 30-120 race.
Filler material:
new pavement held my WOT downshift to 1st gear.
I had 2 coworker passengers (400lbs total extra weight).
Got a thumbs up and a awestruck slow headshake from the rider.
My passengers had no clue I was racing anybody until I let up at 120 and he went flying by a split second later - they were both shitting themselves when I told them that yes, I was racing him the whole time.
Addendum: Feeling a bit cocky, after conversing with a guy on a bone stock 2007 ZX10 on my drive home a few minutes ago, we found ourselves at another red light leading onto a 2 mile straight stretch of 2 lane country highway, him in front of me. He got on it off the light, and went through the gears pretty fast. I was WOT keeping right up with him. At next light, I found out he was just torquing through the gears and keeping the rpms below 8k and didn't even know I was behind him. As the light turned green, I gave him a thumbs up and did a awestruck slow headshake.
