Default Help me decide! Keep or sell my ls1 for another!?

Well, lately i have been faced my a dilemma...

Should i keep my car???... Some info about it: 98 trans am a4 with mods in sig and soon ongoing additional mods in sig... All maintenance attended to.

Current mileage: 150K but not a tick wrong with the car, definitely reliable!

My Ultimate goal: Aggressive H/C/I to make at least 440RWHP in the future while still having a mint show car. Want to have a 4th gen trans am to keep long enough for my kid to appreciate it...

So my choices are:
1) Keep my trans am: means i put about 6-8 thousand dollars on top by getting ws6 hood, paint, H/C/I setup, suspension, plus t56 swap (i dont want to keep the automatic for the long run), possible rebuild or new engine!

2) buy a clean low mileage ws6 for about 12 grand and start my ultimate build...

I want to stick to black color

HELP ME DECIDE!!! THANX!!

Oh and if you want to see what my car looks like, you will see plenty of pix in my profile

you know you can buy a built car for way cheaper than you can build one, for a lil over 11 grand you can almost get everything you want out of a f body ,14 and have something very sick.i thought about selling my car for another but i just cant do it, but the market today is great for a buyer bad for a seller. but if you want something built buying it almost done or over half way there is the way to go, then you can change the lil things to make it your own. thats just imo, you will save a few grand if you go that route

Keep yours. Its more fun to do the work yourself. You never know what problems youll have with another car

imho its pointless to rebuy the exact same car! and ofcourse parts. it would be cheaper and better in the long run to invest it in your car. dont think twice lol. good luck.

I say keep it and rebuild the engine and refresh the suspension. Keep the A4 and put in a higher stall TC.

It's having the peace of mind knowing every little detail that's done to it.

Keep what you have and build that one up

To me, your sentence of "Want to have a 4th gen trans am to keep long enough for my kid to appreciate it..."
is enough of a reason to keep the car. It is a part of your history to pass on to your kid, not a different car that someone else owned.
KEEP IT!!

Keep your current TA.. I've been in a long debate over getting rid of my SS for another Fbody... I know my cars history and everything on the car has been replaced (the motor and trans).. I don't see any reason to buy something else and have to replace stuff on a new one that I've already replaced on mine already..

You have a nice car bro.Keep your car.Buy the things you want for it and make it your own.The t-56 swap is not hard to do.The fun factor of driving the car goes way up with a 6-speed. good luck
