Default 2000 Camaro SS vs 2006? CTS-V

So I raced an Ls6 Cadillac CTS last night in my near stock 2000 Camaro SS. I have SLP loudmouth exhaust and smoothed out stock intake. A4 and Gears are 2.73 because the previous owner busted through the 3.23s and just stuck some z28 gears in. We raced from 35 and he started walking away from me when my car shifted to 3rd. He was all stock except for X-Pipe according to what he told me. And he had a passenger. Does this sound right or is my LS1 running doggy? I thought I should have had him with his weight and I've killed a few Z28s in the past. Thanks!

Thanks! The gears are awful. I'm going to swap to 3.42s soon.

The gearing is what kills you big time. First mod i would do is gears when you get some money. It will make a big difference.

Just a FYI but 3.23 gears were a z28 option. My '02 Z has them.

Z28's could also have 2.73s.

ls6 would be an 04-05, he has you on power but you have him by about 400+lbs even more with his added passenger. But yes it sounds about right the Vs really run well from a higher roll.

Sounds correct to me also! I raced a few T/A's who both had some 315s on the back compaired to my 245s that destroyed me from a dig! Next time see how you do from a dig... I'm sure it will be a lot better for you
