Any of you who have installed a clutch into a newer GM vehicle have likely heard of (and measured for) a shim that can go behind the slave cylinder to ensure proper bearing travel (and thus, clutch disengagement). Manufacturing tolerances vary, not only with clutch setups but with your stock components, as well. No matter how high quality the clutch is, the only 100% safe bet is to measure when installing ANY brand.

Great ! In the middle of my clutch install a few years ago I found that the shim I had was too thick and had to mill it down, this would have been helpful.
