Default abs inop, asr off and red brake light on

Hey I have done a search and after reading through many pages that did not apply to my problem, I am asking for help in knowing where to start checking for possible causes of this. Should I start with checking the wheel sensors? All the lights came on around the same time, it was stored for a few months and when I got it out to take for a drive and that's when it happened. All help will be greatly appreciated and I always get good help here!

Did you get it scanned with a scanner capable of reading ABS codes? i.e. Tech 2

When this happened on my old '95 Camaro, I had a bad ABS Motor Pack, which is an easy replacement, also some passenger side caliper issues...

^ That is because you STILL have not had the ABS system scanned for codes and not seen the related flow-chart!

Check your grounds. Especially the one on top of the shock tower on the driver's side.

mine come on while randomly driving but will reset once shut off... id also look @ the connectors for the speed sensors on each wheel, the sensor themselves twist off and about a foot or two down the wire leading to the car there's another pigtail (gray) connector, spray with maf cleaner or electrical cleaner.

Same here.

4 Channel Rear. Been happening for about a year, I can't be bothered to check into it. When illuminated the ABS actually doesn't work, but I won't complain. Saved me from running off the road when I had to lock the breaks on an unseen sharp turn.

Whole ABS setup will be removed shortly with the addition of the SJM LL as well.

I know this thread is old, but I came upon it while trying to fix this problem on my 2001 Camaro SS recently. I found a fix and wanted help anyone else who comes this information on how to resolve the problem. The problem is caused by the ABS EBCM overheating, which can be repaired for about $65 from here http://www.ebay.com/itm/271597369236...S:1123&vxp=mtr.

There is a lot more info on another thread which lead me to finding this updated repair service here https://ls1tech.com/forums/western-m...l#post18747355
