Yank SS3600/SS3800 VS. TCI SSF3500/3800, and a gear choice question...
So lately i've been researching converters because i've been thinking of swapping out my VIG3600.
I've been leaning towards the Yank SS3800 and TCI SSF3800 for all the raving reviews i've been reading about the both of them.
So my question is...how much better is the Yank SS series vs. the TCI SSF series of converters? (if better at all)
And basically let me hear your thoughts on why i should go with one over the other
With the TCI being quit a bit cheaper...i've been leaning that way vs. tha Yank TC.
If you have any other recommendations (even a higher stall) let me hear it!
I'm going to be a full bolt-on car, running a 12-bolt and most likely ET Streets.
Another question i have is as follows:
Today i picked up a Moser 12-bolt which just so happens to have 4.10's in it...i'm definately going to be swapping the gears out but, i'm unsure if i should go with 3.42's or 3.73's...with my mods and the converter choices above...what would you guys recommend?
Thanks a ton

WHY NOT, Is there something wrong with TCI, VIG is a verygood converter but is less efficient from what I read. But why would you want to swap out a 3600 for a 3800 dont see you gaining much at all, DO you know what stator your Vig has in it , I know TCI has a 2.6 stator in there 3800stall, What are your plans with the car and what are your mods need more info.

I like my tci 3500 and for the price they cant be beat...personally I'd keep the 4.10s...with the right traction you would be able to cut much better times with those gears and only give up a couple of hundred rpms during freeway driving...JMO but thats what OD is for

I agree if you like the looseness at all of the Vig you need to go higher on the stall. If your gonna spray I do not suggest a 4400. More like a 4000. Or a 3800 if more than say a 100 shot.
