Short vid from Irwindale last night - 7.91 @ 94 mph
Hey Guys,
Here's a short vid from last night at Irwindale.
This was my first run with the new setup and first run EVER launching with a 2 step.
Released the clutch way too slow and it slipped like crazy on this run.
Got a total of 5 runs in, two of which were clean runs for me. On this vid, the car went 7.91 @ 94. Best of the night was 7.74 @ 94.4 mph with a 1.90 60 foot.

Seems On the Slower Side for that HP. Has to be traction. Need to get that 60' down to the 1.6-1.7 range. The MPH shows that its def. Launch thats killing your times. Some 16's MT ET or DR's would do the trick.
Sounds good though. First time out, TONS of room for improvement. keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comments guys! As usual, there is definitely room for improvement, with seat time and learning how to drive as the primary area to improve!
I don't want to put more tire under it until I get a 9 inch under there. In fact, every time I launch, (even with only 1.9x 60 foot times), in the back of my mind I'm waiting for the rear to give out!
I will probably be out there next Thursday and will definitely be up at Bako for the track rental, flogging this thing into submission!

What kind of 60 foot times are you averaging?
Are 1.6-1.7 60 foot times possible with a 6 speed, 3.42 gears, and street tires?

If you are really really good, you can get 1.7 60' but, yeah you are on borrowed time with that rear.
Also not sure about the clutch most fbodies I have heard running those slip more than in the vettes.
My 60' on mt et street radials is 1.60 to 1.65 with bone stock suspension.
Even being auto I am lucky my rear hasnt blown up lol.

Yeah we run 1.70s on the stock rear but thats an Auto. You need to Slip the **** out of the clutch to save your rear end if you want to get those kinds of 60' times. You have to do some Ranger style launches but then you start burning up ur clutch quick.

LOL. Ryne allowed my car to leave his shop with a y-pipe that looks like a t-pipe. I begged him to change it but he said that more backpressure would make the most power.
LOL, just kidding guys. More like... I was so impatient that I took the car from Ryne's shop before he could fix the "T-pipe".
Ryne, what do you think about the Pace Setter headers? I was under the impression that they were junk compared to the Kooks/American racing headers, but some people have told me they're actually pretty good.
So... what do you think? Should i just take it to Eddie @ Best muffler for a fabbed y pipe, or should I upgrade the headers too?
