Default Firehawk Fluid Help

I just purchased a 00 Firehawk. It did not come with a owners maunal. Can someone tell me or have a list of certified fluids to use from gear oil, tranny, cluch, brake fluids.

Walmart engine, oil thats what I use. Do your regular changes and you will be fine.

Just go to your local parts store and let them know what you got-they'll point you in the right direction. Then it's just a matter of you deciding how much you want to spend on the tier of fluids-synthetic vs. regular oil, etc...

Here's the 2000 Firebird owners manual:

Off the shelf oils: Valvoline, Pennzoil, Mobil One. Syntetics are good here.

Off the shelf oil filters: Mobil One extended, K&N, Wix/Carquest, Hastings.

Stay away from cheep or store brand oils and Fram, Champion, Pennzoil, STP and store brand oil filters.

Rear end fluid: Synthetics can cause more issues than they help and are not needed for the low temperatures and pressures seen in gears. Reach for Lucas non-synthetic.

Brake fluid, Castrol LM.
