Default Z28 vs 2 trucks a 350z and a BMW

Alright a few of my buddies were cruising and we went down to mexico for some runs. All but one were from a dig

First up was an 02-03 sierra 2500 stock 4x4. he wanted to run me cause he thought 4wd would be enough. He got a much better launch and put 2 trucks on me(spun my tires all the way through first) but when I got traction I grabbed 2nd and proceeded to walk till I got 2.5 cars

Next was a 04ish dodge 2500 4x4 that dynoed 450whp and 1100wt. I got a better launch but he brake boosted and put a bus on me before 3rd

was gonna race the 350z next but a V8 beemer(E63 era) lined up instead. my tires chirped a bit on the launch and he pulled a car. I slowly pulled back and when I got 4th I started walking, had a door when we shut down.

The 350 Z had the last runs it had intake and catback. I dead hooked off the start and proceeded to put buses on him. he caught up and said he had a bad start so we went from a 20 roll. I got the hit and I could swear he was short shifting it because he was shifting when I was at 4k. Anyways it ended worse than the dig and I didn't shift to 3rd.

All in all pretty good night. I was surprised the BMW was the closest, thought it would have been the Z. Wish every night could go this well.

The bimmer was a 2 door big coupe right? 645i from the sounds of it. They are decent performers, but they are quite heavy so yeah not too much of a handful. Everyone thinks 350z's with bolt ons would put up a good fight, but unfortunatly that never seems to NE the case. Good kills. I ran one of those big gnarly diesel trucks before. They are fun!

Yeah, if you can't get a good hole shot then you are stuck trying to reel him in. If you go over a 100mph you have a better chance as those trucks tend to hit a wall in the upper MPH.

Nice runs OP. I thought 350z's were mid 12's with boltons well that what a few members on here were saying a few months back. To beat the 350z by a bus your car must run 11's.

(most of above post is sarcasm)

I still can't wait to see that thing with a bigger turbo. Should be pretty bad ***. How expensive is a LBZ duramax engine and Alison trans if someone were to swap it into say a 72 chevelle. Do people do that? seems like it would be a badass project.
