Exclamation Ls1...80k..?

I own a slightly built '93 LT1 Z28 A4. 355/NO2 etc. Good solid car but im getting kind of tired of it, considering there's LS1 cars with only cam upgrades right next to me. I have a chance at a '99 Z28 M6 for cheap- Ls1 with 80,000miles. Car looks/runs good, all stock. Should i trade in the old LT1 or no?? i need some advice from the experts.. thanks

I wouldn't trade your LT1 and 4500 for it.. For $4500 your lt1 could demolish him.

91K miles, and it's not 100% mint. That's why i'm not asking much for it. It's perfect for someone who can't afford a $18K 35k mile LS1.

hell..for 4500.....take it...even if it had some problems you could invest in a 383 crank rods and pistons (all forged of course) and put in a cam with pushrods and new rockers new springs new lifters...do the water pump and timing chain and thermostat at the same time......

voila!!!!

practically new engine.......total on parts... $6000 if you do it all yourself.....maybe even less depending on who you know and what you get.

and then you'd have one hell of a motor and it would last another 80000 easy

I'd go for it. It sounds like your ready for a change and going from a LT1 A4 to a LS1 M6 is gonna be one heck of a fun adventure. Rowing through gears and 300 rwhp stock is a fun combo. Your gonna love the gas mileage those things get on the highway too.

I say go for it!

You better get this car, your crazy not too.
We need another LS1 in the tri-cities.
Byron will be more fun then, & I got all the tools in the world for these too, cam, springs what-ever. You can put the SS wheels on this car.............

I just rolled over 80K in my car the night before last. I have hit mine with a 100 shot of nitrous several times and I am waiting on LS1 edit, and a new hood and when they arrive I'll be gathering up stuff for one of those new TR T-rex camshafts to slide off in there!

80,000 miles is low in my mind....with proper maintenance the car should last forever (or at least close to it).

I've got 105,700 miles on mine.
